A Simple Summer Table
Its the second week in August. First of all – when did that happen? And second of all, let us remind you that this lovely al fresco dinner weather will soon be behind us (yes, we are talking to you – fellow east coasters). So, there’s no better time to make each vacation day, weeknight, or weekend, count (when it comes to outdoor meals).
Don’t feel like whipping up a dinner party extravaganza before Labor Day weekend hits the calendar? Instead, break bread with a few friends, or, if your coupled up – invite another couple to dine with you and your significant other. A small and intimate dinner party in your yard, on your roof/terrace, or at local park picnic area, will be the perfect reminder that summer isn’t over just yet.
For this particular table – we paired neutrals with bright colors, for a masculine meets feminine undertone. This idea played directly off of the fact that we were setting the table for a simple weeknight dinner with our husbands. And of course, we opted to spend an extra few minutes adding a personal touch. By gathering a few stones from around the yard and marking them with each of our names – we were able to make our impromptu weeknight table, one to remember.
